Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the
Design For Development Society and the Bambulance project!

Volunteers are our most valuable resource and are critical to the success of DFD and the projects that we run.

As part of our commitment to our volunteers, Design For Development has adopted the Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement and is constantly striving to provide our volunteers with the support and recognition that they deserve.

Design For Development currently lists volunteer opportunities on two volunteer portal web sites.

If you are located in and around Vancouver BC, please look for our postings at go volunteer  www.govolunteer.ca/search

If you would like to volunteer remotely (online), please see our current postings at UN Volunteers www.onlinevolunteering.org

Of course, we welcome email enquiries as well.
Please send an introduction email and CV to  info[at]designfordevelopment.org

Currently completing her Masters of Applied Art in Design at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Jen Sawrenko brings a background in pediatric occupational therapy locally and in rural communities, as well as experience in health research to the Design For Development Society.

Jen is passionate about DFD's mandate to promote health locally and globally by encouraging full involvement of people at the community level and building capacity through education, skills training, listening and responding to user feedback.  She is dedicated to sharing knowledge and conducting research to ensure the development of appropriate design solutions. Jen is committed to empowering others to address issues more independently, confidently and with skill through the use of the design process as a problem solving tool. (Oh, and she loves riding bicycles.)
